Federal law will reinstate CalFresh work requirements for certain adults beginning June 1, 2026 in Sacramento County. At this time, no immediate action is required, and benefits will not change until each case is reviewed individually. The Department of Human Assistance will contact you directly if additional information is needed. If you have questions or need food assistance, we encourage you to reach out or apply now — the County remains committed to supporting residents and ensuring access to benefits.
