The Heroes of Human Service Awards recognition was created to honor those who have touched the lives of others through their advocacy, dedication, service and support throughout Sacramento County.
We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding involvement and commitment to human services throughout Sacramento County. Human services are broadly defined as community services that support and protect individuals and families. Examples include efforts not limited to:
Individuals from each of the five County Supervisorial districts will be selected. Additional honorable mentions may also be selected.EligibilityNominees must have demonstrated a commitment to human services through volunteer efforts to provide residents of Sacramento County with the resources, services, support, or opportunities needed to enhance quality of life and social functioning.Submission RequirementsThe Heroes of Human Service Awards nomination form must be filled out in its entirety. You may nominate as many individuals as you like, but please only submit one nomination per form. Selection and NotificationA panel representing the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors and the Human Services Coordinating Council will make the selection of honorees. Please note: no more than one representative from a particular group or organization will be selected. All honorees will receive notification.CeremonyAll honorees will be publicly presented with a resolution from the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors at the Human Services Recognition Ceremony at the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors Chambers, 700 H Street.
