collapse Title : 1) What is a Sacramento County scholarship? ‎(1)

​A Sacramento County scholarship is a financial award for a student to further their education and is not required to be repaid. It is funded by employees and participating community members. ​

collapse Title : 2) How do I apply for the scholarship?  ‎(1)
  • ​Go to the Application​ tab of the Sacramento County Scholarship website.
  • Click the link to download the application.
  • Submit the application and the required documents to DHA-Scholarship-Applications​. Please review checklist attached to the application to ensure that all requested documents are submitted.


collapse Title : 3) Who is eligible for the scholarship?  ‎(1)
  • ​Students currently living in Sacramento County.
  • Students who are seniors in high school and will be graduating with the class of 2026.
  • Students entering a two- or four-year accredited college, university, or technical/trade school.
  • Students who have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5.
  • Students who are on public assistance or low income.

collapse Title : 4) Do I need to be enrolled in college to apply for the scholarship?  ‎(1)

​You do not need to be enrolled in college to apply; however, you will need to provide proof of application and acceptance letter in order for your application to be complete. Furthermore, if you are chosen to receive a scholarship, you must provide proof of enrollment before the funds are issued.​

collapse Title : 5) I don’t have a printer. How can I access the scholarship application?  ‎(1)
  • ​You may ask for help printing a hard copy of the application at your local school resource center or counselor's office.
  • You can email DHA-Scholarship-Applications​. Be sure to leave your full name, phone number, mailing address and preferred email address.
  • You can also print for a reasonable price at your local library.


collapse Title : 6) Can someone else apply on behalf of the student? ‎(1)

No, as part of the scholarship procedure, we require that students apply for themselves, using their own words and experience. ​


collapse Title : 7) Can I receive other scholarships if I receive a scholarship from Sacramento County? ‎(1)
Yes, there are other resources that can be applied for in addition to the Sacramento County scholarship. You can view some of these resources on the Resources ​tab of the Sacramento County Scholarship website.
